In the freezing land of the dancing Berber

We’ve had a nice peaceful day of driving towards Midelt, a couple of stops on the way. We are basically warming up (though the weather is freezing, to say the least) for the Sahara – we will be heading there tomorrow.

While exploring the outskirts of town here in Midelt I met a lot of locals willing to talk, and I spent half an hour talking french (which I barely know) with two Berber girls and their mom. They wouldn’t be in a picture, but the mom gave me a mandarin – so I guess I’m on the plus side.

At the auberge we enjoyed a traditional band, got some shots. All in all a very peaceful day.
